Position Description

An excellent career opportunity in public service is available with the U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan. Applications are being accepted for a full-time Help Desk Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Grand Rapids is the headquarters, but also holds court in Kalamazoo, Lansing, Marquette, and Traverse City. The district covers the entire Upper Peninsula and the Lower Peninsula from Lansing westward. The Help Desk Specialist works in a team environment to provide IT help desk support to court unit staff and provides technical support in installing and configuring computer hardware and software programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Periodic telework may be possible after a period of establishment and/or training completed. (Promotion potential to CL 26 upon meeting qualification requirements, successful performance and availability of court funding without further competition.)
